Two Doors Up is proud to be partnering with Corang Estate to bring a 5 course dinner + wine pairing to Fairy Meadow
Located on the western slopes of the Budawang Mountains, Corang Estate was planted in 2018 and is a 1ha block on a 50ha bushland property. Half the vineyard is planted with Shiraz and the other half Tempranillo vines; chosen because they are ideal to grow in the clay-loam soils of the region. The vine rows run in a north-south orientation, perfect for capturing the maximum sunlight in this cool climate location.
Michael has been a wine industry professional for 40 years, starting out as a barman and sommelier in his early 20s then progressing to Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia to qualify in wine business and production. He built a solid career in on and off-premise wine sales, before spending many years in senior corporate liquor roles. Michael has travelled extensively, studying many of the world’s great wine regions. He has also passed the prestigious and world-renowned Master of Wine tasting examination, his superior tasting skills earning him the nickname “the Nose.”
Jill is a linguist and marketing professional. During her years of language studies (French, Italian and Spanish) she spent lots of time in Europe, particularly France, where she developed a keen appreciation for the wine and food culture. She later moved from her native Scotland to Australia where she met Michael in 2003. Their combined skills and shared love of good wine, food and nature was the foundation on which Corang Estate was built.
This dinner will be hosted by Michael from Corang Estate
